Is it possible to use a LCD display to play xbox?
I was wondering if i could use my laptops LCD screen, Keep in mind, i dont have the CPU part of it, just the Screen, and a wierd connecter, no VGA or HDMI connection. So i can't really use any third party software to help run it, IS there a i way i can wire a Video output to the LCD screen? If so what wires.
Need Help ASAP leaving in 2 days, thanks.
If you had a normal LCD display you could simply use an XBOX to VGA cable:

But since you are dealing with the LCD from a laptop it's going to depend on a lot of things. First, does the laptop screen use a digital or analog signal input?
Second, do you have the screen only, or do you also have the signal processor (the circuit that processes/interprets the image and sends it to the screen to be displayed)?
If you only have the screen and not the necessary signal processor, you're really out of luck. If you do have the signal processor circuit you would need to find a circuit diagram to know which pins are used for each portion of the signal. Then you would need the proper format signal (digital or analog) and then you'd need to wire the correct source wires to the proper input wires on the circuit.
Unfortunately, in most laptops, the circuit that controls the display is built into the motherboard so without the motherboard the screens are fairly worthless. It's incredibly rare to see the necessary circuit built into the screen portion of the laptop these days as it makes it a much bulkier screen. They include it in the system portion of the laptop to save space that way.
More than likely, trying to make this work is going to be FAR more work than it's worth.
