How much is a 1776 1976 good condition half dollar worth?

I have a good condition half dollar that says 1776 1976 & I was wondering how much it was worth. Some people said you have to know the mint or something but I don't know how to find that out. I also have a 1964 Silver Dollar [in good condition]. How much would those both be worth?

Unless it is a proof or in perfect uncirculated condition a Kennedy Half Dollar will not be worth much unless it is 1964-1970 when they were made with silver. The location of the mint mark depends on the year. Yours is a 1976 bicentennial which would have the mint mark on the face of the coin above the second and third numbers in the date. If there is no mint mark it is considered a P because it was minted in Philadelphia. A mint mark of a D means Denver.

You might want to take a closer look at your "dollar" coin. The dollar coins minted in 1964 were all melted down. Rumor has that there are some that survived but it is illegal to own them. So if you really do have one I'd keep it to yourself.
