Can anyone tell me how to blend metal inlays in wood seamlessly?
I am working on a project requiring brass or bronze inlay in wood; the problem is that the inlays must be seamless and the wood has cast metal parts at the ends, and the inlays must blend with them, too. Obviously, I don't want to damage the wood by direct heat application and brazing the metals together; is there an alternative?

Siri - That's certainly one method of applying the inlay, but I want to know how to blend them into the cast parts seamlessly.
If I'm not mistaken, and I rarely am, there is a product called "ColdBraise" or something similar. There are probably several. Go to a metal shop or welding supply store. There are many applications for such material, but the most often used is in your circumstance. I've used a similar product when creating a table with several types of wood and bronze.
