Zodiac signs and gemstones. Sagittarius, Garnet, and more gemstones in antique, vintage and modern Jewelry

Everyone knows that there is a relationship between Zodiac signs and gemstones. It was very common to use specific gemstones in antique jewelry and vintage jewelry, this tradition is still in use today.  Each Zodiac sign has its own gemstones. Let's talk about Sagittarius today.

Sagittarius common features:

• Element – Fire
• Ruler – Jupiter
• The main gemstone – Garnet
• Personal qualities -  Expanded consciousness. Philosophical, Religious, Expansive and extravagant. Independent.

Garnet – The garnet group includes a group of minerals that have been used since the Bronze Age as gemstones and abrasives. The name "garnet" may come from either the Middle English word "gernet" meaning "dark red", or the Latin "granatus"(grain), possibly a reference to the Punica granatum (pomegranate), a plant with red seeds similar in shape, size, and color to some garnet crystals.

Six common species of garnet are recognized by their chemical composition. They are pyrope, almandine, spessartine, grossular (varieties of which are hessonite or cinnamon-stone and tsavorite) uvarovite and andradite. The garnets make up two solid solution series: pyrope-almandine-spessartite and uvarovite-grossular-andradite.

Because the chemical composition of garnet varies, the atomic bonds in some species are stronger than in others. As a result, this mineral group shows a range of hardness on the Mohs Scale of about 6.5 to 7.5. The harder species, like almandine, are often used for abrasive purposes.

Sagittarius specific features:

Those who was born in the period of November 22nd – December 1stare influenced by Mercury. They are brave, courageous, independent and sensible. They are hunters and sportsmen.

People born in the period of December 2nd – December 11th are influenced by the MOON. They are men of moods, have creative imagination and love to travel.

Lucky stones: Turquoise, Onyx, Opal, sardonyx, chalcedony, chrysoprase.

Important years: 15, 30, 40, 45, 60.

People born in the period of  December 12th – December 21st are influenced by Saturn. They are persistent, sensitive, love luxury.

Lucky stones: Garnet, Emerald, Ruby, Sapphire, Topaz, Chrysolite, Zircon.

Important years: 19, 36, 38, 40, 45, 57, 75.

Where can I buy Antique and vintage clothes?

I have gotten really into clothing that looks sort of victorian or has the same feel, but I haven't really been able to find a site that sells clothing like that.

Does anyone know of a site that sells the type of clothing I'm talking about?

Sometimes you can find cool stuff in regular stores, if you're persistent. I have a beautiful velvet jacket that I found at Dress Barn! You can also find pretty lacy blouses, granny boots, and long skirts which can evoke the look. If you're creative, you can DIY and make your own clothing, or rework thrift store finds.
